Chinese Site The Office of Physical Education is responsible for the planning and delivery of physical education courses and related events on and off-campus. Training the university’s athletic teams and recruiting athletic talent for enrollment are its other major roles. It also manages the university’s athletic fields and gym.
Courses in the first year focus on basic physical training and testing, as well as fundamentals in a variety of sports. In the second and third years, students choose courses according to their own interest from a total of 24 different classes. Physical education is an elective course in the fourth year, providing one credit.
The university’s athletic events include a campus-wide athletic meet, a cheer-leading contest, Physical Education Week, Freshman Cup and Inter-Departmental Cup sports competitions as well as a children’s summer camp. The office also oversees the university’s physical tests and operates an exercise club.
