The National Library recently held a press conference for “The Most Influential Academic Resource in Taiwan” to highlight the importance of communication for academics. During the press event, SHU was given four awards, including third place for our Communication Research and Practice periodical. more


SHU is employers’ No. 1 for media, design and arts students


Surveys by China Times Weekly and jobs website 1111 put SHU at the top of Taiwan employers’ choice of universities for media, design, and arts graduates. SHU students have the skills they value: positive attitudes, problem solving abilities, great communication skills and professional skills. more

Hu Wu-Cheng becomes a Golden Bell Best Photographer


At the 50th Golden Bell Awards ceremony, SHU alumnus Hu Wu-Cheng won an award for his Hakka drama “Brave Forward”. For the former Department of Radio and Television graduate, the award was not only the pinnacle of his career to date, but also recognition for Shih Hsin. more


Disney Comes to SHU Library


Between Christmas and New Year, Shih Hsin University Library played host to a crazy Disney animated-toy collection, belonging to full-time lecturer Jun-Rong Huang of the Digital Multimedia Design department. more

Golden Singing King Jam Hsiao isn’t just good at belting out tunes, he can also make some mean moves on the basketball court. And so it was that after last year’s 3-point loss at the “Campus Friendly Basketball Tour” he returned with a vengeance with his Magpies team. more

“The Voice of China 4” qualifier held at SHU


SHU played host to the only qualifier across northern Taiwan for "The Voice of China 4” on May 7th drawing full-capacity crowds to see the qualifying contestants singing their hearts out. more


International scholarship students celebrate 10th birthday


More than 300 international students and 28 ambassadors who are part of the Taiwan Scholarship and Huayu Enrichment Scholarship helped it celebrate its 10th anniversary at a farewell party on May 8. more
